SHAH ALAM, MAY 25:  His Royal Highness the Selangor Sultan has concurred with Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to maintain the three PAS Excos in the State Executive Council (MMKN) until the next General Election (GE14).
This was confirmed through an official statement issued by the Palace and signed by the Sultan’s Private Secretary, Dato’ Mohamad Munir Bani, this morning.
His Majesty said the existing Excos will be maintained in the interest of the people and to ensure Selangor’s continuous development.
“He has considered the mandate given by the people to the existing State Government to continue governing to ensure harmony and development for Selangor citizens to achieve prosperity.
“He also urged all parties to refrain from any negative speculation on Selangor Government’s stability,” the statement said.

He said the decision was made after Mohamed Azmin sought audience with him and informed him on the latest development where PAS had decided to discontinue political cooperation with KEADILAN.
The statement also indicated that the Selangor Sultan has received audience from the Selangor PAS Commisioner who is also Sabak Bernam Assemblyman, Sallehen Mukhyi with three PAS Excos to determine their stands and positions.
“HRH the Selangor Sultan is confident that the trust in Mohamed Azmin received when he was appointed as Dato’ Menteri Besar on September 14 remains,” it said.
Currently Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad holds the portfolio as Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlement Exco; Dato’ Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi is the Islamic Religious Affairs, Malay Customs & Heritage, Rural & Traditional Villages Development Exco while Zaidy Abdul Talib is the Infrastructure, Public Amenities, Agricultural Modernisation and Agro-Based Industries Exco.
