Fire: State Government and LZS extended financial aid

KLANG, JUNE 22: The State Government extended financial aid of RM500 each to eight families who were involved in a fire in Jalan Hassan, Sungai Udang.
The aid was jointly presented by Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi and Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) at the temporary shelter at Dewan Serbaguna Teluk Pulai.
“It is hoped that the families can start a new life in a better place. I encourage them to find a better location to live.

“For Muslims, at least they can celebrate the Aidilfitri more comfortably in new rented houses,” she said.
Also present were the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) who also contributed RM500 to five Muslim families.
Klang District Zakat Distribution Operation Head, Mohd Shukri Hushin said, follow-up contribution is Rm1,500 which they will try to distribute before Aidilfitri.
In the incident last Thirsday, 18 families consisting of eight locals and 10 foreigners were left homeless after 10 rented houses and a furniture warehouse were destroyed by fire.
