BY AFIX REDZUAN
SHAH ALAM, JUNE 13: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali expressed his displeasure over the Middle East diplomatic crisis lately as it is happening in the month of Ramadan.
According to him, conflicts driven by emotions and lack of knowledge leading to hasty actions will not lead bring any solution for anyone.
“I am very disappointed over this diplomatic crisis befalling the Islamic Gulf countries (Arab) which is the most important region for Muslims.
“Muslims cannot underestimate the geopolitical impact of this crisis. Any conflict should be resolved through discussions and negotiation. This is the way recommended by Islam.
“I pray that the Muslim leaders can take the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah as a guide to resolve this conflict. In this month of Ramadan, let us pray for peace, unity and progress of Muslims,” he said.
He said, in continuing to uplift the spirit of unity and consensus among the people, the State Government has chosen the theme ‘Fitrah Umat, Membingkai Muafakat, Negeri Berkat’ for Aidilfitri celebration this year.
Last week, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt cut diplomatic ties with Qatar claiming that it supports ‘terrorist’ organisations including Ikhwanul Muslimin.
