MBI aids asnaf ahead of Syawal

SHAH ALAM, JUNE 21: The Menteri Besar Incorprated (MBI) continue to spread the nobility of Ramadan with a RM20,000 contribution to 100 asnaf (eligible zakat recippients) in the state.
Its Head of Operations, Soffan Affendi Aminudin said, the contribution is a part of MBI’s effort to reduce the burden endured by the underprivileged ahead of Syawal.
He said that was also consistent with the teachings of Islam to do more charity to help those who are less fortunate.
“The asnaf group need to be helped especially especially at this point of time so that they can they can do their prayers in the last 10 days of Ramadan without any worry for Syawal preparation.
“We as the state’s subsidiary also believes that giving will not reduce our wealth besides the returns promised by Allah is too great to be missed,” he said to SelangorKini.
The aid was given by Health, Welfare, Women and Family Development Exco, Dr Daroyah Alwi in conjunction with the Program Diskusi Muslimat at the Sultan Salahuddin Idris Shah Mosque yesterday.
Besides Soffan Affendi, MBI Head of Corporate and Social Responsibiliy, Mohd Jaafarudin Md Ali was also present.
