MPSJ continues to help underprivileged families

SUBANG JAYA, JUNE 20: The Jelajah Kasih Ramadan and Singgah Sahur MPSJ recently made a visit to help 30 underprivileged families in Puchong and Seri Kembangan.
Subang Jaya Municipal Council, Corporate Deputy Director, Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said, the programme this time has 60 participants in the convoy that distributed basic neccesities such as rice and oil as well sahur meals (pre-dawn meal before fasting).
He said, the sahur meals were also distributed to security agencies on duty at several locations along the convoy route.
“The aim of the programme is to help the less fortunate in conjunction with the Ramadan and Syawal celebration.

“MPSJ is also committed to strengthen the communication network through collaboration with other corporate bodies,” he said in a statement.
Azfarizal said, the programme is a series of MPSJ youth on bikes development programme, which has been organised since 2007.
“Now it is expanding consistent with the 2012-2030 MPSJ strategic planning which includes the Action Plan for the Development of a Progressed Society.
“Hopefully it can be maintained in the future and hopefully this contribution will be more meaningful to those who are less fortunate,” he said.
Last June 18, as early as 2.30 in the morning, the convoy team started to gather at the Al-Falah Mosque, USJ9 before moving to two main locations in Puchong and Seri Kembangan.
Besides the Al-Falah Mosque, the programme was also in cooperation with AEON Big (M) Sdn Bhd, Motosikal Dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd, Royal Malaysian Police Force, Social Welfare Department, Local Youth Forces and Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel.
