MB: I have been audited too

BY AFIX REDZUAN
SHAH ALAM, JUL 6: Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has asked all Selangor Assemblymen and Member of Parliament to not make the audit process as an issue.
The Dato’ Menteri Besar said he himself had gone through the same process and he asked the relevant parties to respect the procedure which is currently being done.
“I have explained that the State Government will not get in the way of the audit process and will always uphold the principles of transparency and openness.
“If the Audit Department intends to audit anybody, the process must be complied with without any Executive interruption and free from political element.
“I feel that the process must be respected as I myself have been audited but I did not make it into an issue as it must be accepted to ensure transparency,” he said.
He said that when met at the Majlis Jalinan Kasih Aidilfitri organised by Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC).
Yesterday, Kelana Jaya Member of Parliament, Wong Chen expressed his dissatisfaction, in the social media, due to the budget for the community fund for his constituency being frozen.
Commenting on that, Mohamed Azmin said, he must confront the State Government instead of making public statements.
