MB receives courtesy call from UK Members of Parliament

The Menteri Besar of Selangor today received a courtesy visit from a Commonwealth Parliamentary Association delegation comprising three members of the House of Commons and a Member of the House of Lords UK at the Selangor state assembly this morning.

The delegation comprised the Rt Hon. Sir David Amess, the Rt Hon. Chris Leslie, the Rt Hon. John Whittingdale and the Rt Hon. the Baroness Northover.

The 40-minute meeting was joined by Subang MP YB Sivarasa Rasiah.

The meeting discussed issues of accountability and governance, with particular focus on questions of financial improprieties. Also discussed was the subject of extremism, including how best to deal with issues of communal and cultural harmony.
