SHAH ALAM, JUL 10: Umno Youth Leader, Khairy Jamaluddin should be advising the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak to resign.
KEADILAN Youth Leader (AMK), Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said that Khairy should say that to Najib since he is the one who has been implicated with issues of corruption and failures to govern the country.
He said, Umno-BN’s leadership should stop deceiving the people’s mind in assessing leaders.
“Is this enough to make it easier for the Umno-BN leaders to continue to plunder the country’s wealth? The country is already damaged by so many issues such as 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad).
“There are so many issues weighing down the people such as high cost of living, increasing prices of goods, removal of subsidies, Goods and Service Tax (GST), bribery and misappropriation of public funds.
“I am very certain that in the next General Election, the citizens can assess for themselves, so that the country is no more governed by thieves and robbers,” he said in a statement.
Last night, Khairy who is also the Youth and Sports Minister said that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Kit Siang should retire from politics.
Nik Nazmi said, Khairy’s statement should be addressed to leaders in his own party and not to the opposition leaders feared by many.
“Khairy urged Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Tun Dr Mahathir and Lim Kit Siang to leave politics.
“When everyone knows that these three figures are indeed feared by Umno-BN as they always fight for the people,” he said.
