Selangor Cyber Games returns, attractive prizes in store

SHAH ALAM, JUL 19: The 2017 Selangor Cyber Games is expected to generate interest and enhance the sports’ reputation among the communities in the state and the country.
Youth, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development Exco, Amirudin Shari said, the State Government and Selangor State’s Sports Council (MSN) is pleased that the annual sports event is entering its fourth year and continue to receive good cooperation various agencies including the private sector.
“I think we have a good reputation as we are organising a competitive match in this country,” he said in a media conference after the Selangor MSN Aidilfitri Celebration Function today.
The 2017 Selangor Cyber Games will be held in Paradign Mall, Petaling Jaya on August 12 and 13, offering prizes worth RM180,000 in total.
It assembles participants from across the country, which is also being organised by local youth movements and the private sectors such as Garena Malaysia, Digi, Mineski Events Team, Big Machinez, Legion, Logitech and Time Fibre Optic Communications.

All participants will compete in the League of Legends Thw Legends Circuit (TLC) Grand Finals offering prizes worth RM80,000, Selangor Cyber Games Dota 2 Cup (RM50,000), Selangor Cyber Gamems FIFA Online 3 Cup (RM30,000) and Selangor Cyber Games Tekken 7 Cup (RM20,000).
Meanwhile, Malaysia Garema Partnership Manager, Yeap Su Gern said he is proud to be involved in the organisation of the sports and shares the same mission with the State Government.
“This is our second participation in the Selangor Cyber Games and we share the same long-term goal to see a good development for this gaming community.
“As a game producer, Gamera Malaysia has expanded the match to include two other main titles, EA Sports FIFA Online 3 and the League of Legends for this year,” he said.
