He said, people in Terengganu will exposed to the internationally controversial 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue which was initially formed as Terengganu Investment Authority – TIA.
“Realising that someone need to stand up for the people for the loss of the country’s credibility and Terengganu’s wealth from oil and gas as well as huge wastage in the country’s expenditure at RM2.2 billion a year, Tun will be there with the people of Terengganu.
“He will share information and experience how the country and Terengganu can be rebuilt.
“After 40 over years oil and gas were discovered in the coast of Terenggganu, the state still remains as the 4th poorest state in Malaysia with many fishermen earning a mere RM450 a month,” he said in a statement.
He said, in view that the 14th General Election (GE14) may be held in the near future, this may be the last opportunity for the longest serving Prime Minister to be with the people.

“The ruckus during the Forum Tun Mahathir in Shah Alam recently showed that there must be something which a certain party is preventing Tun Mahathir from revealing.
“We call on all the people of Terengganu to listen to Tun on this Saturday night, August 26, 2017 at 9 p.m. at Pasar Chabang Tiga, Losong, Kuala Terengganu.
“It is hoped that Tun’s advise and everyone’s attendance will rouse a new awakening to change the country and state’s worsening political landscape,” he said.
