Court rejected Isa Samad’s application to be remanded in hospital

PUTRAJAYA, AUG 17: The former Felda Chairman, Tan Sri Isa Samad’s application to go through his remand period in hospital was rejected by Putrajaya Magistrate Court.
Isa’s lawyer, Datuk K Kumaraendran told reporters outside court that, conversely, his client has been asked to be remanded in Malaysian Anti-Corruption Corporation’s (MACC) court.
“During the proceeding, we (defense) submitted the application to court as he is a heart patient who needs treatment,” he said reported by Sinar Harian.
He said, MACC should ensure he is comfortable throughout the remand period and hoped the commission will not ask for extension.
