Decades-long wait finally end, residents receive Notice 5A

SEPANG, AUG 4: The tens of years of waiting for 45 residents of Kampung Sri Tanjong finally end today when the State Government agreed to provide Notice 5A.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, residents are also given one year to settle the premium at a rate between RM300 to RM1,000.
He said, the premium is based on the Selangor State Land Code and is much lower compared to the current land price.

“I assure you that the State Government will help residents to own the land and we do not want people to be burdened.
“Earlier, the Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) Chief Operating Officer said they are prepared to consider paying the premium for poor and disadvantaged families,” he said in front of over 200 attendees.
He said that Notice 5A Handover Ceremony at Dewan Orang Ramai, Taman Gemilang today.
Mohamed Azmin said, the State Government had approved almost 2,000 land ownership applications since he served as Menteri Besar in September 2014.
“This proves the State Government’s commitment in giving back to the citizen what is rightfully theirs as this does not belong to the leaders and it is the peoples’ land.

“We don’t give it during the election campaign but we give it every Wednesday in the State Executive Council Meeting,” he said.
62 participants also received Hijrah loan with a total amount of RM710,000 during the ceremony.
Other contributions include the Skim Peduli Sihat to 10 recipents, Foodstamp (10), Agricultural Input Aid (19) and Livestock and Production Quality Enhancement Aid (2).
