BANDAR SERI PUTRA, AUG 15: The Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS) had recently organised the Students’ Quality Day (HKM) to celebrate students among the asnaf (eligible zakat recipients) and poor who had achieved excellent results in the college.
The ceremony which was organised by Kelab Asnaf D’ KUIS with cooperation from KUIS Zakat, Wakaf and Infaq Section, was officiated by their Corporate Management Deputy Rector, Dr Zulkifli Abd Hamid and was attended by over 300 students.
“May all asnaf students continue to excel academically and personally producing Daei, Ulama and Umara.
“We also call on the community to confidently continue to pay their zakat in KUIS to help the asnaf students excel in their education,” said Zulkifli who is also KUIS Zakat Distribution Committee Chairman in his speech at the ceremony.
The Programme Director, Amirul Hakim Abdullah said, the annual programme serves as motivation and recognition to asnaf students who excel in their academic achieving 3.50 CGPA and above.
“It is also a function for the asnaf students to meet up and foster closer ties,” he said.
Also present was, KUIS Student Development and Alumni Deputy Rector, Dr Muhamad Shukri Abd Rahman and Selangor Zakat Board, Education Sector Head, Zaharuddin Salim and other guests.
