BY AFIX REDZUAN
KUALA LUMPUR, AUG 8: Selangor Government firmly insists the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry (KeTTHA) disclose the price quoted by independent appraiser, Deloitte relating to the Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SPLASH) takeover.
Gombak Member of Parliament, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, until today, the Ministers, through KeTTHA, have failed to inform Selangor Government the value set by Deloitte, an appraiser whom the Federal Government appointed themselves.
“In KeTTHA’s latter dated May 26, 2017, the ministry totally left out the value set by Deloitte.

“It is not that the State Government did not state an offer, but the Federal Government failed to state to value set by Deloitte and they are keeping it a secret,” he said.
Mohamed Azmin who is also the Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor said, Federal Government should state the value set by Deloitte for the public to know.
Talking about tariff, Mohamed Azmin clarified during the Ministers’ Question-Answer Session that the State Government does not determine it but it is set by the National Water Service Commission (SPAN) and the State Government is prepared to present their business module.
The State Government has stated that it will not agree to the Federal Government increasing the water tariff in Klang Valley.
KeTTHA Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili replied that the independent appraiser’s price is not disclosed as it will be made as reference whether the price offered by the State Government is fair or otherwise.
