PPAS prepared to share rebranding success

BY LIZAWATI MADFA
SABAK BERNAM, AUG 9: The Selangor Public Library Corporation is prepared to assist other states with their library rebranding programme.
Its Director, Mastura Muhamad said, Selangor successfully did it with over 40 district, branch and town libraries in Selangor.
She said, the initiative is in line with State Government’s call to enhance the image of libraries and lift its level as second homes to citizens.
“Like today, our friends from Kedah came and I have said that we will share our rebranding working paper with them.
“PPAS is prepared to help each other in making libraries as the citizens’ main choice of place after their homes,” she said to reporters.
She was met soon after the Selangor Public Library Launching Ceremony in Sekinchan yesterday.
Mastura said the Raja Tun Uda Library, Shah Alam is the only state library that opens every day except on public holidays.
“The opening hour has also been extended to 9 p.m. on weekends and 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
“Although there are many requests for us to open on public holidays, unfortunately we cannot fulfil them for now,” she said.
