Selangor tourism enhanced with new activities and products

SHAH ALAM, SEP 12: The tourism industry in Selangor continues to thrive with various new activities and products to attract domestic and international tourists.
Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs Exco, Elizabeth Wong said, for the above purpose, the State Government is also intensifying its promotional activities including participating in tourism programmes abroad.
“This September, through Tourism Selangor, we will participate in a tourism programme in Japan, where Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will also join, and we hope to attract more tourists from Nothern Asia particularly from Japan to Selangor.

“We are prepared to introduce some new activities and products to create the interests for visitors to come here,” she said to SelangorKini.
According to her, among the new products are new tourism sites such as the Tanjung Sepat construction jetty area and several interesting locations in Kajang.
She also said that the State Government is prepared to collaborate with relevant parties and non-governmental associations (NGO) to promote tourism with historical and heritage elements in Kajang next year.
“There are several interesting locations to offer in Kajang plus with the Mass Rapid Transit  (MRT) system, it will easier to people to go there.
“There are also several activities planned such as the Selangor food fest which can attract many tourists to come to this state,” she said.
