Azmin present at Women Against Toxic Politics assembly

KUALA LUMPUR, SEP 11: The People’s Justice Party (KEADLAN) Deputy President, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali was present at the Women Against Toxic Politics assembly as a show of support towards the group’s effort.
Toxic politics refer to politician’s dirty tactics with containing elements of violence, blasphemy, hatred and defamation, corruption and irresponsibility in defeating political opponents.
When met by SelangorKini, Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor said men must also support the women’s effort to bring create awareness in society.

“Previously, I had launched the ‘He for She’ campaign where women’s issues should not be the concern of women alone but men have the responsibility to also carry these issues to collectively find resolutions.
“Today (yesterday), I came on my personal capacity as a show of support towards Malaysian women’s effort to create a new awareness to society,” he said.
Mohamed Azmin said that at the Women Against Toxic Politics assembly at Maju Junction Building compound, in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman yesterday.
He said, the role of women in this country is very important to create the awareness on the importance to reject toxic politics.
He also expressed how proud he is when more women dare to come forward to create a Malaysia that is strong, free from sexism, gender unequality and corruption.
“With the awareness shown today plus support from the men, Malaysia is set for a bright future,” he said.
