Local authority bracing for major high-tide

SHAH ALAM, SEP 21: The Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) has directed 16 members of its Flash Squad to be prepared to face to major high-tide phenomenon.
Its Yang Dipertua, Mohamad Zain A Hamid said in any possibilities, they are prepared to move to the location.
“We are prepared and waiting for instruction to assist logistically such as with trucks to move things and even to build tents in relief centres,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kuala Langat Land and District Office has directed several safety agencies to patrol several areas potentially at risk.

“We have instructed several agencies to monitor and patrol some areas from time to time, including Kelanang Beach and Tanjung Sepat Promenade.
“All relevant agencies mainly the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) and MDKL have been directed to jointly help to monitor from yesterday,” he said.
