SHAH ALAM, SEP 28: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is described as the credible leader to continue heading the state.
Based on Sinar Harian’s survey involving 550 respondents throughout the state, 301 still chosed Mohamed Azmin to remain as Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor.
The newspaper reported that the number represents 54 percent who still support Mohamed Azmin’s administration despite various slanders and negative speculations thrown at his leadership.
“Although in the beginning, he was often compared to the previous menteri besar, the KEADILAN Deputy President has never stopped from doing things his own way.
“Less politicking, continuing the state’s legacy of excellence and increasing welfare programmes for Selangor people seems to be the factors that proved Mohamed Azmin is a good State Government leader,” wrote the newspaper.
The survey also found that citizens’ confidence on Mohamed Azmin’s credibility were due to the continuous implementation of policies that protect and support the people.
The newspaper reported that extending the free water policy was deemed to be the accurate move for the State Government in helping to reduce the burden of the people in Selangor.
“Improvements after improvements with ideas such as Smart State which benefit the people with initiatives such as Smart Selangor Bus, Free WiFi and sustainable waste management in several districts have added much value to Selangor citizens.
“The State Government’s generosity to public servants by giving a two-months bonus, more Skim Peduli Rakyat initiatives and the excellent economic environment are also factors for voters to still choose Mohamed Azmin,” according to the newspaper.
The same confidence was expressed by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UMS) Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor Dr Jeniri Amir on Mohamed Azmin charisma in driving the state’s administration.
He said the pro-people’s leadership, clean and credible, further spurred the support for Mohamed Azmin to remain in the state administration.
“Among the key factors that make the people accept his administration because of their authority to lead Selangor to a higher level,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dato’ Menteri Besar’s Political Secretary, Shuhaimi Shafiei, said the people’s trust in Mohamed Azmin’s leadership is due to his approach the interests of the people first, in an administration system that is transparent and with full integrity.
“This is Selangor, the state that continues to register positive growth since Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin’s administration,” he said.
