Selangor Smart City shows cooperation with Barcelona

SHAH ALAM, SEP 5: The Selangor Smart City & Future Commerce Convention 2017 which will be held this September 7 to 9 will witness among the best joint organisation in the region between Barcelona, Spain and Selangor.
Selangor Information Technology & E-Commerce Council (SITEC) Media Relations Officer, Jamilah Lim said, the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) Deputy Director, Dr Fahmi Ngah will be presenting the Smart Selangor plan and latest developments in the biggest convention.
“This convention involves information sharing on six important matters which are Smart City Forum, Future Commerce Forum, Green City Forum, Smart City Exhibition, Smart City Hackathon and Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards 2017.
“Dr Fahmi is expected to present the latest development on Smart Selangor either on the first or second day of the convention,” he said.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is scheduled to officiate the convention, with 200 participants who will form 50 teams to propose resolutions on urban issues such as traffic congestion and solid waste management, on September 7.
The convention will also feature Smart City personalities from Singapore, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Barcelona, Taipei, Doha and Istanbul.
Besides that, giant technology companies such as Google, Nvidia, Alibaba and Tencent will also be taking part in the Future Commerce Forum to discuss digital economic issues and online marketing.
