Enhancing Selangor’s tourism prospect in Japan

SHAH ALAM, OCT 4: Tourism Selangor together with Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) has formed a regional cooperation with Japan through the 2017 Tourism Expo, in Tokyo Big Sight, last September 21 to 24.
Tourism Selangor General Manager, Noorul Ashikin Mohd Din said, the programme has the potential to enhance tourism prospect for Selangor in that country.
“The Selangor tourism industry has many potential to be explored especially with our tourism counterparts in Japan.
“In our quest to become an active and progressive tourism industry, we in Tourism Selangor and the Selangor Government support all effort by local industry players to develop interesting tourism products in this state.

“Among the initiatives that can be done include environmental tourism, agro-tourism, homestay, heritage and culture,” she said in a statement.
She added that the collaboration can also be the best platform for Selangor Government to carry out joint tourism programmes to attract more visitors into the state.
“The Discover Selangor Campaign is the benchmark for Tourism Selangor to promote its products to increase the number of local and foreign tourists.
“The theme ‘Heart of Malaysia’, used as the slogan, is believed to be attractive for tourism promotion.
“This campaign ultimately shows that Selangor is a hub for transportation, development, investment, business, education, medical as well as tourism,” she said.
