MB: If you want to copy then let us lead Putrajaya

BY AFIZ REDZUAN
SHAH ALAM, OCT 30: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali cynically told the Federal Government that they might as well let PAKATAN lead Putrajaya rather than replicating its administration module.
He said a big portion of the 2018 Budget tabled by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been done in Selangor, in fact he has no problem to implement the same at federal level.
“Last two days (October 27), when the prime minister tabled the 2018 budget, most of the initiatives have been done in Selangor.

“But it is alright. If he feels the policies in Selangor are good, he can follow, there’s no problem. If he wants to follow or replicate everything, we might as well be in Putrajaya to save the nation,” he said.
He said that at the 2017 Selangor Indian Entrepreneur Programme Launch at the Midlands Convention Centre, Shah Alam, yesterday.
Among the initiatives introduced by the Federal Government and closely resembling those done in Selangor are MyBrain, a fund for newborn known as ADAM50 and the Off-River Storage (ORS) to protect water sources.
He said, the Federal Government ‘s budget allocating 84% for administration compared to 16% for development is seen to be incapable to save Malaysia’s economy.
“How is he (Najib) going to save the citizens and the economy of development spending is reduced to 16%? PERMATA receive RM600 million. Prime Minister’s office gets additional budget of RM1.5 billion.
“That is why administration budget rose to 84% and development budget reduced from 18% in 2017 to 16% for 2018,” he said.
