The Selangor contingent is thoroughly preparing for the Sukan Malaysia (Sukma) 2018 in Ipoh, Perak next year.
Youth, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneur Development Exco, Amirudin Shari said Selangor State Sports Council (MSN) doing the preparation according to plan and schedule.
“Starting from January next year, preparation will become more intense, especially for the players and athletes’s last mission ahead of the 19th edition of Sukma.
“Currently, the athlete selection process is still in its early stage with assessment of current performance, whether they will be competing at the national or international level, as well as new prominent athletes,” he told SelangorKini here today.
These allow MSN Selangor to determine their abilities to represent Selangor in Sukma next year.
Selangor targets to retain the championship won during the 18th Sukma in Kuching, Sarawak last year with 59 gold, 73 silver and 63 bronze medals.
