KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today revealed that two of the ’10 promises in 100 days’ have been fulfilled, 70 days into Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) administration.

He said that the government remains committed into realising all ten promises on the basis of accountability, although admitting that not all result could be accomplished within 100 days of their ruling.

“Within 70 days, starting from May 10, 2018 to this day, two out of ten promises have been implemented, six is being fulfilled and two have yet to begin its implementation steps.

“To ensure that all is done accordingly and follows the rule of law, implementing all in one go will take time. However, all of the implementation mechanism have been studied and is currently being looked into by the department and agencies involved,” he said today in Parliament.

Although not specifying which promises that was already fulfilled, the Pakatan Harapan chairman said that the government had encountered several unforseen circumstances as they attempt to implement all ten promises, apart from other important tasks needs to be carried out at the same time.

“As we implement (the promises), we face many challenges such as laws drafted by old government, officials that was changed and some replaced, all these are obstacles to us implementing our promises.

“If we are are sinful (for breaking promises) then we will bear it. (But) When there’s obstacles, we must find way to overcome it,” he said.
