KOTA RAJA: DAP Supremo Lim Kit Siang today urged PAS and Umno supporters to vote for Pakatan Harapan Sungai Kandis by-election candidate Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni.
He said PAS and Umno supporters should realize by now about all the misconduct, missapropriation and scandals that took place during Barisan Nasional (BN) administration.
“During GE14, they didn’t think that all the scandals, corruption and abuse of power (by BN) was actually true. Now they have the opportunity for them to learn (the truth).”
“Today we found out that the corruption was even worse than we thought. All the more after all the new revelations, the people must fully support Zawawi,” he told the media here in Sungai Kandis.
The Iskandar Puteri MP said this is essential as it will send a clear message to BN and former premier Najib Razak that the people are completely behind Pakatan Harapan (PH).
‘Anwar’ calling Azmin ‘Barua’ recording is fake
On other matters, Lim also commented on a voice recording that went viral where a voice supposedly resembling PKR defacto leader Anwar Ibrahim was lambasting PKR Deputy President Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Lim swiftly dismissed the matter, saying that it’s fake and was created by Umno.
“Today there’s plenty of fake news on social media. I myself was accused of coming to Malaysia in 1957 after the independence when (the truth is that) I was born, raised and schooled here. That’s why we can’t believe everything from the internet unless there’s proof.”
“Don’t believe it. This is all done by Umno,” he said.
Several PKR leaders have also dismissed the audio clips as fake.
