SHAH ALAM: Smart Docket System will help the Selangor state government to overcome leakage while increasing state revenues from rock, soil, mineral and other earth materials.
Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said through the online based system, all dockets issued will be streamlined under one system which is also used for monitoring purposes.
Besides helping the state, Amirudin said the same system will also provide industry players with lucrative returns and easy access to its statistics.
He said data collected and stored online by the Smart Docket System, can be accessed for analysis work and advanced planning by respective parties.
“As an advanced state, rapid and modern development would not be possible if there are shortages in supplies of earth materials which doesn’t meet market demands.
“With the Smart Docket System, industry players will have a platform to ensure their production provides lucrative returns,” he said this today during his officiating speech before launching the Smart Docket System.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, Amirudin is convinced that the system implementation would streamline all the approved dockets under one system and avoid cloning.
“With the system, we can monitor trucks in real time and every docket is unique to each issuance. This way we can prevent theft and excessive mining,” he said.
The Smart Docket System is an online monitoring system that is being used to keep track of Selangor earth material producing operators in real time.
The system is a result of a joint collaboration between Selangor Land and Mineral Office (PTGS), Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (Semesta), Smart Tech Tank Sdn Bhd and CTY Weighing & Automation Sdn Bhd.
Besides monitoring individual lorries upon its approval, the system also possess the ability to keep track of its informations, provides improved control efficiency and can generate royalty collection reports.
It aims to ease the application, approval, and renewal process for earth material producing permit while empowering its enforcement through mobile applications.
Smart Docket System hopes its implementation would result in a reduction of leakages in Selangor state revenue, increment of revenue from earth material while providing enforcement authorities with quick relevant data.
Although its pilot project have been implemented since May 2017 in three sites, the final version of the Smart Docket System will only be officially used this month.
