Avoid dirty politics, MB to Selangor assemblymen

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari today echoed the royal address of Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, when he told the State Assemblymen to avoid dirty politics at all cost.

Leading the charge at the Selangor Legislative Assembly sitting for the first time since his appointment in July, Amirudin said that Selangor Assemblyman must heed and honor the Sultan’s decree.

“Among many others, the content in his speech urged State Assembylman to increase progress and avoid dirty politics which will not benefit anyone,” he told online portal Selangorkini.

Earlier today, Sultan Sharafuddin in his royal address prayed that the upcoming sitting will foster a spirit of unity, harmony, loyalty and patriotic among the state assemblymen.

The ruler advised the state assemblymen to avoid practicing narrow politics which reflects hatred, slander and will cause misunderstanding amongst each other.

Speaking after the opening of the second session of the14th Selangor Legislative Assembly sitting, Amirudin who is also the Sungai Tua assemblyman hoped that the state government can continue to strive prudently.

Although not revealing new measures yet, he said that new things in the work will be announced at the upcoming Selangor Budget.
