Among the locations given were Permatang Kuartza, Gombak; Forestry Research Malaysia (FRIM), Kepong and Kuala Kubu Bharu.

Meanwhile, Selangor Town and Country Planning Department Director Muhammad Ridzuan Arshad said the company is continuing its efforts to prepare the Conservation Management Plan (CMP) and ‘Pre-Dossier’ for the location.

Ridzuan said it was to realise the goal of the State Government to make it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

“This document will serve as a guide for controlling development in Permatang Kuartza and Pre-Dossier areas to bring FRIM towards the National Heritage Site as well as the World Heritage Site.

“JPBD also provides Kuala Kubu Bharu town as a National Heritage Site involving the Hulu Selangor District Council which will be submitted to UNESCO for approval,” he said.

The World Urban City Planning Day is an annual agenda that is held on 8 November worldwide and is celebrated by almost 30 countries around the world.
