5,784 units of Rumah Selangorku approved in Dengkil

SHAH ALAM – A total of 5,784 units of Rumahku Selangorku involving nine projects were approved by construction, in Dengkil area.

The Housing and Urban Living EXCO, Haniza Talha, said that of the total, two projects involving 1,158 units were completed, with seven other projects comprising 4,626 units under construction.

“For the data on the number of houses priced at RM300,000 and above, it is the category of Free Price House and the Selangor Housing and Real Estate Board has no such record.

“Free Price Houses are regulated by the Housing and Local Government Ministry,” she said at the Selangor State Assembly session today.

According to Haniza, the State Government improved the existing housing policy to be relevant to the current situation as well as being a catalyst for private developers to expand their Rumah Selangorku units, especially Type A.

She said based on the Affordable Housing Policy (Rumah Selangorku 2.0) which came into force last April 2, any land or proposed site in a development zone of more than five acres is subject to the provision of 10 percent Type A of Rumah Selangorku.

“While zone 2, the development of 20 acres and above is also subject to 10 per cent of Type A Rumahku Selangorku, while for a zone of 50 acres and above is also subject to 10 per cent Type A of Rumah Selangorku.

“The provision of Type A Homes is required to all housing developers whether it consists of private developers, governments or subsidiaries of the State and Federal Government,” she said.
