SHAH ALAM – Duli Yang Teramat Mulia (DYTM) Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, is keen to contribute in the Back To School Programme to 500 children from 12 orphanages around the state.
The programme, organized by Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE), allocates RM60,000 including the distribution of 500 school clothes, shoes, socks and school bags and RM100 for every orphan.
YIDE Acting Chief Executive Officer Nur Mohd Razali Abdullah said the contribution was to ease the burden of the orphanages involved in preparing basic schooling requirements.
“The Back To School program is held every year and is now in its second year after the ‘Pilot Project’ that was successfully carried out together with the Selangor MB Incorporation, last year.
“For the first time this year, we are working with the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and Star Villion to help orphans be registered with us,” he said.
This was said after the Back To School Program Contribution Ceremony held at Star Villion Section 7, here today.
Among the 12 orphanages involved is Ehsan Ash Shakur Charity; Al-Khadeem Organization; The Orphanage of the Orphanage of the Orphanage; Al-Munirah Orphanage House and Baitul Kasih House.
Also involved are Rumah Aman Shah Alam; Association of Orphanages and Poor Households of Selangor’s Excellence Vision; Rumah Bakti Dato ‘Harun; Rahoma Darul Fakir; Rumah Kasih Harmoni and Orphanage And Hidayah Al Hijrah.
At the same time, YIDE has also opened up opportunities for other corporate agencies to jointly channel donations to help the people in Selangor in particular.
