MB – Community development & activities program not racial nor religious

SHAH ALAM – The State Government is committed to ensure that the implementation of community development programmes and activities in the state does not neglect any race, ethnicity or religion.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari, said any action that could jeopardize people’s unity and government stability should be avoided to realise an effective development agenda.

He said it was important to improve the socio-economic status of the people and to increase the progressive drive, especially in the rural areas.

“The State Government has always kept the economic progress, political stability and social prosperity that is enjoyed by the people in Selangor and will continue to be take care of it” he said.

He said this in a statement in conjunction with Christmas Day 2018.

In a statement, Amirudin said in the new Malaysia era, all parties have a great responsibility to ensure that the unity that has been built so far will continue to lasts.

“I recommend that we try to recognize, Li Taarafu with each other.

“Security and unity will not be achieved if we do not know and continue to suspect each other. Therefore, we must jointly foster the spirit of belonging, the spirit of unity and peace among the people of Selangor, “he said.

Amirudin also wishes a merry Christmas Day to all Christian societies in Selangor including those celebrating it throughout the country.
