MB: Comply with standards to expand E-Sports

SUBANG JAYA – Associations or industry players in the E-Sports industry, especially in the state, are urged to create laws and ethics to facilitate the development of electronic sports.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari said that with the current development of E-Sports in the world today, it needs to be done immediately.

“It’s an assignment to the associations and activists to oversee the plans for this sport.

“I believe that through law and ethics, we will be able to train judges, players, and so on, forming standards  of play whether organized or not,” he said.

This was said by Amirudin at the Selangor E-Sport Experience Closing Ceremony, at The Pantheon here yesterday.

According to Amirudin, with the establishment of a certain standard, the sport’s development will gain the trust of business community and society outside.

“This is the responsibility of associations and activists. Prove this sport is not a waste nor a waste of time. Do it immediately and the State Government can help in terms of organization, round table or discussion, “he said.

At the same time, Amirudin also wanted politicians not to interfere with the affairs of the sports associations.

“In terms of association, it is important to be honest so we can develop the industry and defend the existence of an association, so I ask politicians not to interfere with the affairs of the association,” he said.
