KUIS helps Thai children with English skills

SHAH ALAM – A total of 45 students of the International Islamic University College of Selangor (KUIS) successfully implemented a program to help Thai students master English.

The program called ‘Teaching English Language’ was held for four days until January 4th at Anwang Wanthong School, Koh Lanta, Krabi.

Lecturer of the Da’wah and Usuluddin Department of Islamic Studies Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faiz Abdul Rahim said the program’s objective was to improve the students’ skill in speaking, writing and reading aspects in English.

“It is also to establish a two-way relationship between KUIS students and Anuban Wangthong School students as well as residents of Koh Lanta Village.

“In addition, through this program we can improve the spirit of teamwork among students of Sekolah Anuban Wangthong, villagers and KUIS students,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

In addition, he said the program was in line with the goal of introducing KUIS to the international community.

It is understood that 45 undergraduate Bachelor of Da’wah with KUIS Human Resource Management and three lecturers involved in the program.

Meanwhile, the learning activities were attended by 30 students from three to six years Anuban Wangthong School.

Among the program filling, students are taught to recognize the alphabet and how to communicate in English in public.

In addition, KUIS students also carry out corporate social responsibility by painting the walls of the school.
