PETALING JAYA – The IKEA Distribution Center which will commence operations in September 2020 will offer at least 300 job opportunities.
Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari said the vacancy will involve those with a qualified talent.
“Although it is a large logistics hub, some of it involves automation or robotics and the rest of the skilled manpower.
“This job opportunity is open to graduates to fill the these kind of job vacancies,” he said.
This was said by Amirudin after the Selangor Council of Investors Appreciation Awards 2018 held at the Sheraton Hotel on Jan 29.
Earlier, Amirudin also inaugurated the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Distribution Center of IKEA Sdn Bhd which was being developed in Pulau Indah, Klang.
Through that development, it will further boost the investment industry in Selangor and Malaysia in general.
In fact, it will help reach more customers in Southeast Asia, thereby facilitating people to get home furniture faster.
