Central Government gives RM67.58 million allocation for Selangor education

SHAH ALAM – The Federal Government announced an allocation of RM67.58 million for education development projects in Selangor

Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik, who announced the good news via Twitter on Feb 11, also informed that RM20.7 million was allocated for the construction of a new school, Sekolah Pelangi (SK) Taman Pelangi in Hulu Langat.

Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari on Twitter said he welcomed the announcement of the allocation.

Through the letter issued by the Education Ministry dated Feb 11, an allocation of RM3 million was allocated for the six-classroom replacement of the Integrated Special Education Program at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bagan Terap, Sabak Bernam.

Meanwhile, an allocation of RM180,000 is given for the pre-school education overhaul project at the Tamil West Country, Bandar Baru Bangi National Type Schools (SJK).

Meanwhile, an allocation of RM1.4 million is given for the SK Kebun Baharu pre-school classroom overhaul project, Telok Panglima Garang.

Lastly, an allocation of RM63 million is given for a new school construction project at SMK Bukit Mahkota, Bangi.

Through the same letter, the ministry also announced that all new projects under the 11th Malaysia Plan from 2019 will be carried out by the Public Works Department through an open tender process.
