Amirudin – Not easy to repair a state and country that has been ‘damaged’

SEMENYIH – Repairing a state or country that has been ‘damaged’ is not an easy task.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari, said the same thing happened to the Selangor State Government and Penang before, but after the leadership has been taken over by Pakatan Harapan (PAKATAN), the state recovered.

He said the situation is the same as the Central Government today which has just been taken over by PAKATAN for less than a year.

“It is impossible for the people to make comparisons to the point that some say the PAKATAN Government failed to perform its duties,  the community needs to be more justified as the administration was only recently taken over and we are fixing all the problem.

“We saw what happened at Tabung Haji, Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) and so on, losing billions of ringgit until the existing government has to rectify everything back,” he said.

He said this during the Semenyih People’s Meetings Ceremony in conjunction with the Semenyih Semenyih by-election at the Baiduri Apartments, Bandar Tasik Kesuma, here last night.

Also present was Deputy President of KEADILAN, Dato ‘Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali; Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Selangor BERSATU chairman, Dato ‘Abdul Rashid Asari and PAKATAN candidate, Muhammad Aiman Zainali.

Amirudin said the government is taking some time to repair the damage caused by the Barisan Nasional’s undisputed leader that was governing the country.

He said for this reason, it should not be the old government to re-govern the country and do the same damage.

“The State Government today has a good governance after 10 years of ruling Selangor, look at the investments  in Kuala Langat, as well as the construction of the RM900 million IKEA store and the opening of a Toyota factory in Bukit Raja.

“It means investment comes from good management that allows us to implement the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat programme and within 10 years can spend RM3 billion for the people of Selangor,” he said.
