I would like to wish a very Happy Chinese New Year to the Chinese community, especially in the State of Selangor Darul Ehsan. This New Year’s celebration is a historic one as it is the first time this celebration is being celebrated in the New Malaysia era after the 9th May last year.
Of course, Malaysians put great hope on Pakatan Harapan including the Selangor Government to implement all the reforms and the promises pf change. Now is the time to work harder for Malaysians.
Malaysians understand that the process of transition from a Kleptocratic government to a Reformation Government is not easy. However, this is not an excuse for the leaders of HARAPAN, including myself, to be self-reliant and still nervous to administer. The mandate entrusted by the people must be uphold with responsibility.
We in the State of Selangor are lucky to have started the reform process since 2008. All the rumors that have been thrown in the past 10 years have been answered with the implementation of policies that are prosperous for the state and the people of the State of Selangor Darul Ehsan. Hence in the last election, the people of the state have given a great victory to HARAPAN.
Therefore, Budget 2019 also focuses on the policy of driving the state economy by developing ten clusters called the Selangor State Economic Group. This initiative intends to dismantle and roll out the potential of each locality so that the local economy can be spurred and create more jobs and business opportunities. Among the clusters are the Aerospace Cluster in Subang and KLIA, Education Cluster in Gombak and Bangi and Agro-Eco-Tourism Cluster in Sekinchan and Sabak Bernam.
However, all these plans can only be implemented if all the people of Selangor are united in their success. In conjunction with this Chinese New Year I invite all the people to appreciate the cultural diversity that exists in the State of Selangor for the prosperity of our country.
To the Chinese Community, I hope this celebration is celebrated with joy and happiness.
