ADN Honours the Speech of the Sultan of Selangor

SHAH ALAM – Selangor State Assemblyman (ADN) honours the opening speech of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Opening Ceremony of the Second Division Conference of the 14th Selangor State Assembly of 2019.

ADN Morib, Hasnul Baharuddin said the Sultan’s message included various aspects including the economic, environmental, Islamic affairs and issues regarding the disabled community (OKU).

“With regards to OKU, we should be more concerned and give equal rights, and there may also be opportunities for employment for this group.”

“The Sultan also touched religious issues involving the management of the mosque, which was not directly, but he wanted mosque institutions to be used by certain parties for  political agendas,” he said.

He said this  after the Opening Ceremony of the Second Division Conference, the 14th Selangor State Assembly of 2019 here today.

Meanwhile, ADN Subang Jaya, Michelle Ng Mei Sze said she was concerned about the local authority (PBT) issue.

She said although the PBT in Selangor is in its own class, there is still room for improvement in the service.

“At present, if there is a problem PBT will manage through the complaint system but because our PBT managed to receive five stars, I think we can give better service to the people.”

“This can be seen in the administration area of ​​the Subang Jaya Municipal Council where residents today are at the level of wanting PBT to be more pro active in addressing a problem,” she said.

In addition, Michelle also welcomed the Sultan’s call urging all parties not to spread the news of defamation and to cause racial and religious tensions.

Meanwhile, ADN Paya Jaras, Mohd Khairuddin Othman said Sultan Sharafuddin’s speech was loaded with advice and guidance to the ADN who will be having a meeting this week.

“The Sultan’s speech was desirable to be the guidance of all ADN for the meeting as it will be able to benefit the State Government.”

“Sultan Sharafuddin is also focusing on growing investment issues in Selangor where this is a challenge not just to the State Government, but to all parties to further enhance the state’s economy,” said Khairuddin, who is also the EXCO of Youth Generation & Sports and Human Capital Development.

ADN Dengkil, Adhif Syan Abdullah, said the Sultan’s speech clearly reflects his concern for the welfare of the people.

“His Majesty included all aspects in his speech, especially the sectors that can affect the well-being of the people,” he said.
