Selangor Able to Add Special Provisions for Apartment Cases

SHAH ALAM – The State Government is able to add some special allocation to low-cost apartments with those that involves special cases, Amirudin Shari said.

However, the Selangor Menteri Besar is still waiting for feedback from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) on any special provision for upgrading low and medium cost apartments in Selangor.

He said the cooperation between the State Government and the KPKT would continue to be normal as long as there were no special provisions.

“We believe we will be able to add some special provisions that can be discussed on a case involving low or medium-cost houses.

“So far, the State Government is still waiting for feedback from the KPKT to channel any special allocation for the upgrading of low-cost and medium-cost apartments in Selangor for this year,” he said.

He said this in response to the mouthpiece of the proposed Bukit Lanjan State Assemblyman (ADN), Elizabeth Wong on the provisions of the Cheerful Scheme and the upgrading of low-cost apartments in Selangor.

In the same reply, Amirudin informed the State Government is allocating RM 10 million to continue the Cheerful Scheme for 2019.
