MPSJ organizes ‘Gotong-royong’ Againts Dengue this Sunday

SHAH ALAM – Residents around Subang Jaya are invited to participate in the ‘Gotong-Royong Perdana Basmi Denggi’ Programme at JKP Zone 8, Tempinis Road, Kampung Tengah A, Batu 13, Puchong, this Sunday.

The programme, organized by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), will start at 7 a.m.

The initiative also got the cooperation of the COMBI Squad Ministry of Health, the Selangor State Health Department (JKNS), Petaling District Health Office (PKD), Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) and Tahfiz School students from Kg Tengah, Bukit Lanchong and Kinrara RMAF Camp.

MPSJ’s Corporate Affairs and Strategic Management deputy director, Azfarizal Abdul Rashid, said various activities will be held such as robotic exercises, children’s coloring contest, ‘gotong-royong’, health exhibition and fogging.

“We hope residents in the area will arrive as early as 7 a.m. for the success of this programme as well as to give permission to local authorities to enter the house for inspection purposes.

“We want to destroy any potential breeding ground for aedes,” he said in a statement.

Previously, 99 dengue cases were recorded in Kampung Tengah, Puchong, here from January to 7 April, making it the highest dengue location received by MPSJ.
