SUNGAI PETANI — PNB Management Services Sdn Bhd (PMSSB), the hospitality arm of Permodalan Nasional Bhd ( PNB), aims to chalk up sales of RM300,000 during the Malaysian Unit Trust Week ( MSAM) 2019 for its group of hotels and resorts.

Its seven hotels and three golf clubs include PNB Perdana Hotel & Suites On The Park, PNB Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu, Hotel Sri Petaling, PNB Ilham Resort, Impian Morib, Lanjut Golden Beach Resort, Lanjut Beach & Golf Resort, Kinrara Resort, Kota Seriemas Golf & Country Club and Lanjut Golf Club.

General manager, group sales and marketing, Ismail Hisham Ahmad Zambri said PMSSB is offering an up to 70 per cent discount for a two days one night stay at its hotels and resorts during the MSAM week from April 19-25 and valid until April 24, 2020.

“The purchase can be done at the PMSSB booth at the MSAM exhibition hall as well online via the group website.

“The response received from the MSAM visitors as well as online purchases this year is overwhelming, and hence, we believe the target is achievable,“ he told Bernama.

He said for the whole group PMSSB is targeting a 65 to 70 per cent occupancy rate this year.

On the business outlook of PNB’s hospitality arm, Ismail said it remained challenging with upcoming new hotels, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, as well as tourists preference over unlicensed hotel operators and those offering vacation rental services on Airbnb.

For last year, the hospitality arm recorded sales of about RM700 million and hoped that this can be sustained this year.

According to Ismail, PNB’s Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu remained the leading performer, followed by PNB Perdana Hotel & Suites On The Park.
