SHAH ALAM – Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari intends to make Selangor as not only best istate n Malaysia, but also as one of the finest states in Southeast Asia.
However, he said, the effort would be difficult if there was no cooperation between the ranks of the State Executive Council and the authorities to ensure this desire is achieved.
According to Amirudin, this is not a light duty and should be carried out with a focus on renewing determination if Selangor is to be known as the best in Southeast Asia.
“Today, we are proud of Selangor being the best state in Malaysia, but we have to challenge ourselves to ensure that the state is also well known in Southeast Asia,” said Amirudin.
“The state government aims for Selangor to be the main actor or main player in the Southeast Asian Region while Shah Alam is to be the leading city in Malaysia,” he said.
He said this at the opening of the Shah Alam City Council Excellence Service Awards 2018 at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC).
Amirudin added that in order to ensure that the goals of individuals are met, it is also necessary to have a high self-discipline, integrity and responsibility for one’s task.
Hence, Amirudin said these individuals have to venture out of their comfort zone to compete with others and challenge themselves in order to realize their goals.
“Through this effort, tourists and investors will be happy to come to Selangor as it has been recognized as the best in Southeast Asia,” he said.
