Zuraida Visits Selangor Area Affected by Flash-flood

SHAH ALAM – Ampang MP, Zuraida Kamarudin, visited Taman Siera Ukay Perdana that was affected by the flash-flood last night.

Zuraida spent almost two hours at the area this morning and was accompanied by the President of Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), Dato’ Abd Hamid Hussain.

Zuraida, who is also the Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), had also listened to the grievances of the locals on the incident via photo sharing on Twitter @ AmpangP99.

In addition, a team of firefighters, who were at the scene since yesterday, also helped to clean the affected area.

Meanwhile, the Selangor State Operations  Center (PGO), through a statement, informed that they received an emergency call at 11.14 pm last night and that a team of firefighters from the Ampang Fire and Rescue Station, which consisted of seven-members, were moved to the scene.

“Upon arrival, the team found it to be a case of flash-floods. There is a lot of mud on the roadway due to the ongoing construction work  in front of the houses.”

“Mud cleaning duties are done for the purpose of avoiding any unwanted accidents. No injuries and casualties were reported, ” she said.
