Elliance in Partnership to Develop Maintainance for 4.0 Solutions

KUALA LUMPUR – Elliance Sdn Bhd, which offers fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) solutions, is collaborating with Quest International University Perak (QIUP) and cybersecurity solutions firm DuoSpark Resources Sdn Bhd to develop and provide machine-assisted maintenance that employs artificial intelligence (AI) for the local electrical and electronics (E&E) industry.

In a statement today, Elliance said it would provide the technical know-how, machine connectivity and data extraction under this Maintenance 4.0 partnership, while QIUP would contribute on machine learning to train the AI model based on the data from Elliance.

Meanwhile, DuoSpark will ensure the integrity of the data or information through their cybersecurity technologies.

A memorandum of understanding for the partnership was signed during SEMICON Southeast Asia 2019 in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month.

Elliance chief executive officer Cheng Boon Seng said the advent of smart devices, the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 had presented proven opportunities to optimise reliability and cost-efficiency for those willing to embrace change.

“In Malaysia, the E&E industry is growing rapidly, and it is time for us to provide industry players with a platform to perform predictive maintenance, which not only can reduce cost but also increase efficiency and ultimately impact overall revenues,” he said.

Cheng said the collaboration was also made possible with the guidance and support by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.

Elliance specialises in the provision of smart manufacturing solutions, which comprises a team of Industry 4.0 consultants and technical specialists.
