Selangor Civil Servants Receive Special Allowances

SHAH ALAM – The Selangor government has announced a special financial aid, the Selangor Mahabbah Incentive, of one month’s salary to 19,244 civil servants in the state in conjunction with Aidilfitri celebrations.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari also announced a special RM 1,000 assistance to 739 federal staff members in Selangor which involves financial implications of RM 33.84 million.

The state government also decided to finalize the amount of special financial aid for this year of three months salary.

“This means that special financial aid by the end of this year is a two-month increase in salary based on performance achievements earned by department heads,” said Amirudin.

He said this at the Selangor Government Civil Servant Meeting at the Perak Jubilee Hall Auditorium, SUK today.

According to him, all the gifts will be paid on 7 June with financial implications of RM 33.84 million.

“Payment dates are selected after Hari Raya as it is beneficial to civil servants who receive payroll on 24 May. So it can be used after Hari Raya,” he said.

“The Hari Raya Financial Special Assistance will also be given to 1,521 employees of several state-linked companies (GLCs) and state strategic organizations,” he added.

Among them are UNISEL, Selangor Hijrah Foundation, Tourism Selangor, Invest Selangor, Communication Corporation Sdn Bhd, Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor, Inspens and Ground Floor.

the aid is also given to SSDU Inovations, SmartSel Sdn Bhd, Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Resort Berhad, Institut Darul Ehsan and Puteri Arafiah Home Care Center involving a total payment of RM 5, 621, 200.75 (RM 5.621 million).

Meanwhile, Amirudin also announced a special financial aid for the Ramadan Mahabbah Incentive involving 2053 surau and 390 mosques in Selangor involving RM 4.1715 million.

“The kariah mosque is composed of nazir, the first imam and the second imam, first bilal and second bilal as well as the first siak and second siak, who will receive RM 400 each,” said Amirudin.

“While surau staff consisting of surau chairman, the first and second imam, a bilal and a siak will receive RM 300 each,” he added.

“This payment covers a total of 12, 995 mosque officers and surau throughout Selangor and this payment will be given to the Religious Office of each district before Aidilfitri,” he said.
