SPREAD LOVE Helps Women to Compete

SHAH ALAM – The establishment of the Persatuan Semarak Cinta Kasih (SPREAD LOVE) can improve the economic position of households, as well as making women more competitive.

Yang Dipertua of the Women’s Welfare and Charity Society of Selangor (PEKAWANIS), Masdiana Mohamad said that as an employee and housewife, women need to be smart in carrying out their duties according to their priorities and well-being.

She said that if they failed to live up to and practice both, they would have to deal with the two responsibilities.

“This problem will be a burden on the mind that will ultimately reduce work performance, thus destroying family institution,” said Masdiana.

“What is most fearful is that it causes severe emotional and mental disorders. Ultimately, the responsibility of duties and households will be abandoned and lead to failure in life, ” she said.

Masdiana said this at the SPREAD LOVE Association Council and the Women’s Day Celebration Ceremony entitled ‘Wanita Gemilang, Ibu Penyayang’, here.

The wife of the Selangor Menteri Besar said that it is the trend for many mothers to have a professional career and hold high positions in an organization, institution or company.

Hence, she said their burden tend to be very heavy as they had to fulfill their responsibilities at the office, as well as a greater responsibility awaiting them at home.

“In the past, the wife was often likened to the Minister of Finance but in my opinion, the position of Minister of Development and sometimes more to the Minister of Human Resources suits as the role of women as they tend to be comprehensive and unmatched by men,” said Masdiana.

“Indeed, being a successful woman in both their career and household is the dream of every woman,” she added.

In this regard, Masdiana hopes that with the association, all members will benefit from every activity provided in order to make members ready for the world of challenging globalization.
