Synergy of Leaders and Civil Servants Can Make Selangor Outstanding

SHAH ALAM – The synergy between leaders and civil servants is important in realizing the aim of making Selangor a major state in Southeast Asia by 2025.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari, said the function of civil servants is very important in order for all the policies proposed by the leaders to be implemented properly.

“10 years of our experience taught us that mutual respect and maintaining professionalism is important so implementation can be done well,” said Amirudin.

“We give high trust to civil servants … In the past (planning) was given to consultants or outsiders but now we provide opportunities for civil servants,” he said.

He said this when delivering a welcome speech in conjunction with the inaugural Dialogue at Shah Alam which featured former International Trade and Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed or more commonly known as ‘Tok Pa’.

With the title of New Malaysia, which is to focus on working to achieve political synergy between leaders and civil servants, the programme took place at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC), here.

Amirudin said  organizing of the programme was in line with the presentation of the Selangor Budget 2019 to create a culture of knowledge and to exchange views for the better.
