500 Units of Rumah Idaman Cahaya for Felda Settlers and Their Children

SHAH ALAM – The state government has set up 500  ‘Rumah Idaman Cahaya’ affordable housing units for the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlers and their children.

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said another 100 units would be handed over to the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS).

“This Rumah Idaman Cahaya is conducted in collaboration with Encorp Berhad which is partly owned by Felda and we have set up 500 special units for settlers and their children,” said Amirudin.

“There are 100 units left to LPHS for Smart Rent and DanaSel programmes under the state government,” he said.

He said this at a press conference at the Signing of Must-Ehsan Development Joint Venture Agreement with PNSB-MGB Consortium and Heritage Idaman Ceremony and Aidilfitri Aidilfitri Ceremony 2019 at the Perak Jubilee Hall here on 18 June.

Amirudin said the joint venture project involved 1,800 houses of the Rumah Idaman Cahaya project.

According to Amirudin, the 1,000 square foot house has three rooms and two bathrooms.

What makes it more interesting is that the house also includes television, fridge, closet, air conditioning in all rooms and water heater.

Amirudin added that this project is able to help the B40’s own homes.
