NILAI – Former national squash queen Datuk Nicol Ann David, 35, said she had yet to decide on her future plans since announcing her retirement in June.

The eight-time world champion said she hoped to speak with the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) and the National Sports Council (MSN) first before making any decision.

“I have many plans, but I will discuss first with SRAM and MSN on what is suitable. But what is certain is that I will focus on developing the sport of squash among the young women in the country,” she said.

“I also have plans to hold a squash talent camp in Malaysia or overseas. I also intend to focus on delivering talks and motivational camps in the country,” she told reporters after officiating the opening of three squash courts at the Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) College in Mantin near here, which were refurbished at a cost of RM 300,000.

Also present were KTJ trustee Tan Sri Imran ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar and the college’s chairman Dr Glenn Moodie.
