Quality of Air in Selangor Decreasing


SHAH ALAM – The Air Pollution Index (API) in Selangor is almost unhealthy, according to a Department of Environment (DOE) report today.

According to the portal, the API at Johan Setia Klang showed a reading of 99, while unhealthy air quality was at a scale of until 9 am.

Other locations in the state have air quality readings of 81 for Petaling Jaya, 80 for Shah Alam, 76 for Klang and 75 for Banting.

The 0 to 50 IPUs are considered good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and over 301 (dangerous).
